Come Along…

Well, here we go! 

What came to mind when I wrote that was a picture of someone about to go on a journey, with others in tow, not sure what would come of it all, but ready and excited nonetheless. Well, today, that person is me! 

A friend said to me recently, "Samantha, you do great at inviting people into your life, you are always willing to share what's going on in an open and honest way." Her remarks express my desire for this blog. I want to invite you into my life, not because it's perfect and I have it all together, but in hopes that in sharing my life, the lessons I've learned (and continue to learn), and the challenges I've walked through that, you might be encouraged.

Paul captures the sentiment of my heart in his letter to the church in Thessalonica about what is best to do as they await the Second Coming of Christ, "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." ( 1 Thess 5:11 ESV ) The Message version says it this way… "So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope …" I pray your hope is built here. And it's a breath of fresh air in your life.

While this space can be for anybody, I also know it's not for everyone, and that's alright. When I write, I think about those I care about, be it friends or those in the family of God, or both. And for those I've not met that I hope to engage with here.
